These clippers are excellent! Our dog is 15yo, I wish I had bought these years ago. Unfortunately, we have suffered through many expensive hair cuts and several sets of much less expensive and much lesser quality clippers. BTW out dog has a very thick double coat, we think she is a samoyed/retriever mix. I was able to shave her in two 20 minute sessions. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, I can not say enough good things about these clippers. Oh, and the price and service through Amazon beats other retailers by a long-shot.

You have to go slow, and the unit does get very warm. But they get the job done where as my human clippers just were to weak to cut poodle hair
